What a fantastic little lodge this is, in a superb location with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips. John was a brilliant host with quick, friendly responses to my communication. The lodge is well equipped, spotlessly clean and on a beautiful plot. We didn’t bring our dog this time but given the size of the private garden each lodge has we will be back and will bring Frank next time !! We booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 3 as we wanted more time, next time we’ll be booking for the week. Check in and out was simple. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a well appointed rural getaway that’s within easy reach of amenities.

Tanyard Barn had all the amenities you could want and the hot tub was lovely and clean. The hot tub is under a covered area so you are protected from the elements whilst still being able to enjoy the beautiful scenery around. The things that really stood out and made this an exceptional stay, where the fantastic little touches that had been put in place by the owners. These included freshly made bread and blondies, juice, milk and oat milk in the fridge as well as some small bottles of red and white wine, sparkling wine and beer! There were even thoughtful touches such as face masks to enjoy and provision of some essential toiletries in case you forget anything. The owners really go above and beyond to give you the luxury and personal touches for your stay. Robes and slippers were also provided which made getting to and from the hot tub comfortable. The Barn is in a fantastic location for hiking straight out the door and is lovely and secluded. it is however only 4 or 5 mins walk from a brewery and little village with country pubs in it. Dennis was easily reached and responsive when we need to contact him. We cant praise the place, location and hosts highly enough and we would absolutely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Was a lovely stay, shepherds hut was lovely and comfortable.
Very dog friendly, dogs able to run around off lead in the field and chase tennis balls. Hut was immaculate and very well equipped. Views from the hut were stunning.
Really good location and lovely outdoor area. So picturesque and relaxing outside. The shepherds hut was nice although we spent a while trying to find the bedding and thought it was provided at first!
Easy to find Friendly staff & locals Location 15m from arena Limited parking in rear of pub Large TV in room Free high speed WiFi Breakfast was very good (large bacon roll was enormous!) Beds nice & comfy Quiet room (when windows were shut) Clean bedroom
It was very secluded and peaceful, lots of great views from our hut
We spent a couple of nights here and had a lovely stay. Great location with stunning views. The hut was clean and cosy, and had all the amenities we required :)
Loved the scenery and location of the hut. Very clean and comfortable has everything you need in the cabin. Host was a pleasure to deal with too.
My stay was very pleasant, staff very friendly and helpful and the little hut quite cosy and very clean. It did get a little cold at night and an extra blanket would have been nice but it was lovely and warm during the day. The shower and hot water were great. I would say that the description on the booking.com website of a "chalet" is a little misleading, but the hotel's own website describes the room as a shepherd's hut which is more accurate. Would definitely go back but probably in the spring or summer.
Loved the place we stayed on the promenade very colourful made to look like beach huts well lit on a night, tables and chairs to sit out a nice little fire pit to sit around, very clean.
