The property is non-smoking and is located 23 km from Springbank Whisky Distillery. Our stay was AMAZING!! The accommodation was so comfortable, clean, and cosy. The location was great to explore the area, being close to everything we wanted to do. Katherine was so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable and ensured all our needs were met. The fresh eggs provided for breakfast were delicious and such a lovely touch. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day of exploring. Our dogs also had a great time and enjoyed the outdoor space which was fenced off for them.

An oven, a microwave and stovetop are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. Stunning surroundings, the host was exceptional to the point he even ground us some fresh coffee and brought it to the lodge as we hadn’t brought any. The lodge was extremely comfortable, clean and well maintained. Our host was welcoming and friendly with lots of advice as to what walks and activities were available. The view from the cabin was stunning, it looks down the Loch and you can hear the water lapping up around the rocks below it as you relax in the lounge area. There was parking next to the lodge and the lodge itself was warm throughout our stay (November) as were the showers in both bathrooms. The lodge was very well stocked with towels, blankets and all the small things that make life that bit more comfortable when you’re travelling. I must thank our host for making our stay so pleasant. I’d happily recommend this lodge and will hopefully be back sometime soon.

The property is in very good order and kept clean. There are 3 garden benches in gardens around the property and a private decking area to the rear with tables & chairs.

A beautiful location, quiet and secluded but a short drive from Dunoon and any services you need. Lying in bed watching red squirrels playing was a first for me. I've been to lots of remote locations around Scotland and this was the most red squirrels I've ever seen in one place.

Great facilities within, the wood-burning stove is a real treat and was a lovely place to relax after being out and about. Couldn't fault Hawthorn as a place to stay and would happily do so again.
