Fernando is very knowledgeable and always open to sharing information about the fauna and flora and wildlife. We loved our stay there.

The whole village is beautifully designed with a clever inside/outside design to make you really aware you are staying in the heart of the jungle, side by side with nature. It’s fabulous and wildlife is everywhere! Lots of lovely artistic touches around the house make it feel very special and the house has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Masai was on hand at all times to help with any requests we had and the fact that laundry was thrown in free was a massive bonus. All in all we had a really special time at Congo Bongo which we will remember forever.

This was a little vacation to celebrate life and man, we hit jackpot!! Gianluca was a great host with super clear directions, and he helped us map potential places to visit and go eat. I forgot to take pictures, but the lodge was absolutely gorgeous, and our room had all that you needed for visiting Cahuita. Offering a year-round outdoor pool and tropical garden, La Rana De Cahuita is set 5 km away from the centre of Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 18 km from the property. The place is a hidden gem. Nestled in the middle of the rain forest amongst lush gardens and local fauna. The songs of the birds were incredible and you could hear the houler monkeys every morning. We hope to come back soon.
