This felt like a very special place. Everyone has their own cabin with fire place should you need to warm up. There’s a long walk you can do through the jungle from the hotel which was really nice. The staff were really helpful when it came to getting taxis around, but a lot easier here to have a car.

It is rustic, but comfortable, and we enjoyed the chance to get to know the other guests. Our guided walks were outstanding and we saw an amazing array of frogs, birds and insects . It may not be for those who seek luxury, but it is definitely for those who seek authenticity. We’ll be back.

We loved the outdoor kitchen and the comfy living room. Super recommend!!

We are a family of five and stayed here for two nights on our way to Tortuguero. We couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect, right on the Saripiquí River, and the house feels brand new with chic design and top-quality materials. It feels like a boutique hotel. The terrace view is stunning, the kitchen fully equipped, and the shower excellent with hot water and a rainfall shower. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the barbecue area. Everything is thoughtfully designed and well maintained.
