We loved our stay at Hortensias, the villas are so cute, the little electric fireplace was used a couple nights just to cut the dampness. Had two meals for supper and we enjoyed them, breakfast was also very good. Highly recommend.

Fortuna Airport is 61 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Everything, this was a treat and I could have stayed there for ever. The breakfast included was so good with many choices. This is great for person that want to be in nature.

Juan Santamaría International Airport is 88 km from the property. The remote location, the owner of the lodge (Pedro) and our guide on the bird watching walk at 6:00 in the morning. The food was really good! The deck of the lodge where we saw animals and birds was also great.

There is a seating area, a dining area and a kitchenette complete with a fridge, a stovetop and kitchenware. The property has an outdoor dining area. Gorgeous property right in the jungle - absolutely amazing setting. Very welcoming hosts. The Cabin was really clean and the outdoor kitchen was pretty cool. The beds were very comfortable. There was an information booklet in the cabin which had an amazing range of activities, which you can book with the hosts.

A recently renovated villa set in Sarapiquí, Río Sarapiquí Lodge features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the river and garden. The best place we stayed in Costa Rica. The quality of the home was exceptional and the hostess was so helpful and kind. Definitely worth the money.
