Angaston Lodge is the best option for Barossa if you prefer a quiet location in walking distance of a nice town with friendly people. Grant gave us a good insight view of interesting places and we discovered some more (Krondorf, Steingarten....). The lodge is just great, in German we would call it "über-drüber"! Not to forget the pool! And the architecture! And.....

It was extremely comfortable and well equipped, but the best thing was the privacy and beautiful location. The owners had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The food supplies were awesome and the BBQ pack enough for 2 nights. I would recommend it to anyone for a peaceful break away from the crowds and in close proximity to the Barossa wineries. The owners were great communicators but let us just get on with it without intereference, although we knew they were only a text away if we needed anything.

We loved the history of the cottages. Everything was really comfortable and they had thought of everything. We loved the way the rooms had been furnished. The laundry and breakfast provisions were welcome. We enjoyed sitting outside.
