Our family of 4 stayed at Ivory Tree for 2 nights and it was a great experience for usnand the kids in terms of accommodation, food and safari game drives. The lodge was spacious and well maintained. We enjoyed the dipping pool in our lodge in between game drives. The food variety was broad, with menus changing everyday. Service staff were friendly and helpful. There was also an africa drum session at dinner on our first night where diners are invited to participate, which was entertaining and fun. We loved the safari game drives which were well spaced - there was one in the early morning and an evening one, leaving you half a day to enjoy other activities. Our guide Syabonga was great at spotting animals and also gave us good information about the plants around.

Our stay at Black Rhino Game Lodge for our honeymoon was simply perfect. The rooms were amazing and luxurious, the food and staff was great but our highlight were the game drives with our guide Dolfie. He was super knowledgable yet entertaining and really went the extra mile to show us the big 5 and multiple other amazing sighting! Can highly recommend!!

Amazing stay. Staff was very helpful, they make you feel like home. Rooms are big, clean and very confortable. Food is very good, we loved the dinner served at the room! It was our honeymoon trip and everuthing was great! The games were nice, we were not luck the first ones but in the last we saw lions and elefants!

We had the most amazing time. The view and accommodations are breathtaking. Our wonderful guide had some much knowledge; we were out on dive for hours and loved every minute of it, he went above and beyond to ensure we had the most wonderful stay.

From the get-go, communication was early and clear from both Lize and Jenni. They provided a ton of information, including details of spa treatments available. The rooms were amazing and so very comfortable. I was glad that there were only a handful.of rooms, as this gave a sense of privacy and exclusivity. Emma, our stand-in game warden, was top-class: enthusiastic and made a real effort to show us the reserve animals,, including predators and rhinos. There was so much food!. :).

Oh my, to be away from the rush, at this lovely lodge, with 3 loose standing rooms (with kids bedrooms each) and bath&shower inside and bush showers outside, aircon plus ceiling fans, LOVELY & comfortable, was enjoyable for our family of six. All necessities are available (wifi in living area of main building, tvs, fridges, ice-machine, dishwasher, cleaning lady, etc). Hannes our guide needs a special mention, his friendly, knowledgable and well-mannered presence made this weekend super special! He calmed our nerves and instilled trust when the elephants came hand-reach close to our "Jeep". He showed us 3 male lions and a lioness about 30- 40 meters away, we were the only sightseers at that moment in time and were so blessed. He took care of our needs/wants (bathroom break for little one), etc. Hannes was prompt, we never waited, he even served coffee, etc. deep inside the bush. We will market Makanyane lodge far and wide and hopefully return, if possible. Thank you and God bless.
