Beautiful environment Splendid large lodges Excellent food

It was the best place I have ever been to. I did not expect such service. All the staff was very friendly. All the staff were like best friends who were constantly worried about us. There were more staff than guests in the lodge. The food was very tasty. The Internet worked reliably and we watched youtube. The Lodge area is very cozy and large. We did not think about anything and enjoyed being in this place. The safari was also great.

I’ll start by saying that this is the best place to stay in Kruger. Although I was initially skeptical about the 5-star rating, I was quickly proven wrong upon our arrival. Location The lodge is situated in the southern part of Kruger, an area particularly rich in wildlife, and overlooks a vast river. From here, you can observe impalas, crocodiles, elephants, and hippos. The view is simply breathtaking! Accommodation We spent two nights in a beautiful room on the first floor, with a magnificent view of the river. It was truly a dream come true. The room was spacious and equipped with every imaginable comfort, including a shower, bathtub, and two sinks, all with a river view. An unforgettable experience. Services and Dining The service provided by the staff was impeccable; everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea in the common area was much appreciated, and the delicious dinners outdoors with a river view deserve special mention. Safari Experience The highlight of our vacation was the full-day safari, accompanied by an exceptional guide who was a biology graduate and deeply passionate about wildlife. Her expertise allowed us to deepen our understanding of every animal we encountered, offering us the chance to calmly observe every detail of life in the park, without rushing (unlike other safaris where you simply take a photo and move on). Overall, staying at Buhala was the most extraordinary experience of our entire vacation. I highly recommend it, as it is a much more intimate lodge compared to others we visited. Later on, we stayed in other lodges, but none were comparable to this one, neither in terms of quality nor price (we paid more for places of lower quality).

It was an amazing stay! We saw so many animals at the river from the terrace of the lodge. The room was much bigger than we thought and we had a very good bed which was extremy comfortable! It was the lodge in which we slept best during our South Africa trip! We really enjoyed this spacious, clean and cozy accommodation with that amazing river view (= beautiful sunsets and sunrises and plenty of game and birds!!!). We had plenty of space there and we were helped so much by the manager Greg who suggested us a very good and affordable mechanic for our vehicle issues which were solved quickly and for very little costs by this mechanic. Furthermore it was a very cozy and lovely stay at this lodge and it was just a 10 minutes drive to the Malelane Gate of the Kruger Park. We would defenitly come back to this lodge and we will recommend it to our friends.

The friendly staff and clean rooms, reception was very friendly. I am a Head Pastry Chef from Ireland and know my way around food the food was Amazing and it's always nice to see the new students being trained because they are the future for the industry.

It was all fine, including the view over the river, all kinds of animals passing by, Elefants, Hippos, Springbocks etc. About 10 minutes by car to the entrance of the Krueger park and 35 minutes to the next airport.

River House Lodge is a really beautiful hotel in the banks of the river. Amazing deck that you can relax and watch all the animals that come and go. You can even skip a safari game and stay there to relax. You will see many many animals The room we had is a very big double room with a small balcony that has river view. Cause we were leaving very early in the morning i dont know how is the normal breakfast (we were taking a breakfast box that was ok) and a tastful dinner Highly recommended

The room was spacious and I really appreciate the coffee machine and fridge in the room. It is very convenient to have the restaurant close-by and the food is always excellent. I had supper served as room service and their were promptly on time and the staff member were very friendly an unintrusive.

The hospitality was exceptional, Sbusiso went an extra mile to make our kids experience the best holiday, the companion and walks. Carrot and Apollo were a great hosts too. The food was great. The overall experience was heart warming, the tranquility ans calmness the venue offers melted our hearts. We will definitely visit again
