We spent the last days of our holiday at Zur Alten Mine and it turned out to be a great choice! We stayed in a lovely lake-view cabin which was fully equipped with everything you can wish for during your stay. We chose for the served breakfast which was a delight with very tasteful, homemade products and freshly baked bread. The owner Rainer knows the region very well and gave us advise on sightseeing in the area and even on the best route and roads to the airport. Also: go for his restaurant suggestions! You won't regret it! It was definitely a nice end to our tour through South Africa.
