Wonderful team, warm and welcoming reception, and absolutely delicious food – both the dinner (arranged in advance) and the breakfast were outstanding. The room was spacious, the common areas were beautiful and inviting, and the garden was lovely. Since it was cold, we couldn’t enjoy the pool, but everything else was just perfect. A truly wonderful way to say goodbye to South Africa.

This venue is truly exquisite and the grounds are in immaculate condition. It also doubles as a wedding venue. There is even a beautiful pond with swans ! We booked several rooms for our family many months ago and with there being so many of us, dates changed and were added and some changed again. Through this all the team were so gracious and responded to all my requests and questions immediately. Not once being irritated with my changes but always being so understanding and accomodating our every need. The rooms are beautiful with attention to even the smallest little detail. We were so impressed ! My husband keeps telling everyone just how impressed he is :) We also had breakfast served in our room and it was absolutley fantastic. We ordered on both mornings that we were there. Kudos to everyone here at Gracias de Dios - you have created a beautiful gem.

We had a fantastic time at Lakefield Lodge. The lodge was impressively clean, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. It is a wonderful place to stay with very open minded, friendly and helpful people.. Especially Poppy is doing a wonderful job during the breakfast time. You can get almost everything what you want. Generally the location is safe, beautiful, very green and quiet. You don't hear anything from the airport. The airport is about 15-20 min away from the Lodge. There is also a airport shuttle available. We will definitely come back the next time.
