It felt like a very authentic Vietnamese experience to stay at Happy Happy bungalow. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We were served vegetarian lunch and dinner as requested and everything was delicious. We also did the motorbike tour with them and it was one of the best experiences in Vietnam. We got to explore rice fields, local farms and neighbouring mountains. I’ll definitely recommend doing the tour with them if you’re staying here. They also have a puppy and a cat and they just enhance the entire experience ten-fold. It really was a happy happy stay for us.

Heartwarming and welcoming family, super sweet and took care of us well. We were genuinely sad to leave this place! Lovely new yet still authentic house, including comfortable bedding. Along with the soothing sound of a stream, it has amazing views throughout that you can look at all day. The home-cooked dinners were incredible. Lots of trekking options in the Ta Van area, some good restaurants and convenience shops within walking distance.

The staff were exceptional and very helpful. The rooms were great. Especially the fact that Sapa is cold in December. Warm heater, comfy beds, and warm shower. The food served at the restaurant was exceptional. I would stay here again, without a doubt.

Loved the location, amazing views and very peaceful. Room was large and spacious and well lit. The family host was amazing and incredibly friendly. Breakfast and dinner were different every day and cooked with fresh ingredients (I think many vegetables were grown on site)! I prolonged my stay and would visit again without a doubt. I felt very welcome and peaceful here.

The staff are truly incredible at the Black Ship. They work so hard, and are so friendly. They go above and beyond to help you and make it a memorable stay. The room was beautiful and the views are spectacular. I hope to return again one day.

Friendly and helpful staffs. Very satisfied with their activities suggestions and arrangements. They even packed us sandwiches and water on our last day for our bus ride to Hanoi. Nice views of square from the lodge. Convenient location, just a short walk to town area.
