MexicoI hardly ever write reviews for the hotels I stay at, but Eagle View Lodge really stole my heart. The staff is incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had a great stay. I loved the decor—modern, but with a unique African touch. The hotel also has amazing views of the city. And I just LOVED my room: it was spacious, clean, had a huge bathtub, and a terrace overlooking the greenery on the mountainside. The sunrises from there were just beautiful. I also got a fantastic massage that was exactly what I needed after a long trip, and it was super affordable. Breakfasts were delicious and very filling. One night, the staff even came to my door to invite me down for dinner and to watch a traditional dance performance they were hosting to celebrate Rwanda’s Independence Day (all on the house—they didn’t let me pay for anything). This was my first time in Kigali, and it couldn’t have been better!
