I had a wonderful stay at Small Land Lodge, truly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in Kibuye. The location is excellent, just a short distance from the bus station, Kibuye city center, Lake Kivu, and Kibuye Hospital.
The lodge itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. My room was clean and comfortable, with a mosquito net and all the essentials. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to the day.
I highly recommend Small Land Lodge to anyone visiting Kibuye!

Côte d'IvoireI spent two wonderful nights at Umurobyi Lodge in Kibuye and was deeply impressed from the very first moment. The owners gave me such a warm and genuine welcom. Their attention to every detail made my stay truly special. The full-board arrangement was perfect, with delicious meals carefully prepared and beautifully presented each day.
The lodge itself is majestic yet cozy, offering a touch of luxury within a warm, family-style atmosphere. It truly feels like a home away from home. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking (Lake Kivu shimmering at sunrise, swimming cows along the shore, and the mysterious beauty of Bat Island nearby).
A big thank-you to the entire team for making my stay unforgettable. I cannot wait to return!

The accommodation is located less than 1 km from the asphalt road and approximately the same distance to the lake, the shop and the café. It has only 3 eco cabins, shared toilets and showers. Nicely maintained garden, beautiful views, very helpful and friendly staff and very good cuisine. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. It's a very nice place, I can only highly recommend it.
