Luisa was incredible! We stayed 3 nights here and loved our time. It was relaxing and filled with making us feel at home! She provided us with a fridge full of food upon arrival and a small bottle of her own wine. Each morning she bought us fresh bread, cakes, eggs, juice etc which was such a nice touch! As we were heading out one morning she caught us and showed us the wine being made in the process which was fantastic to see! Always a text or call away and lots of recommendations and even offer to use the pool in her other property. We couldn’t recommend this place more - perfect location for a stay in the Douro Valley!

Very friendly welcome from Luisa. Some lovely local fruit and vegetables and other food given to us to use. The accommodation and the kitchen have everything one needs for an enjoyable stay. We also tasted local wine produced by the family which is of high quality. The surrounding area is beautiful for nature lovers and Alijo itself is an attractive and charming town. Difficult to fault anything at all. Thank you.

The house is nestled in a vineyard with gorgeous views of the Duoro Valley. Cecilia is an excellent host who gave us loads of suggestions on what to do and we really enjoyed the wine tour at Casa Poco. The place itself was clean and comfortable. I'd absolutely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The house was perfect. The location is private and inside the forest, with a lovely view, clean air and the sound of the river. Good area for travelling Douro valley. The house is perfectly designed and equipped, with thought on every single detail. Exceptional tranquility with all the facilities. Above all, Joachim was the best host ever! He was very helpful and friendly, and made us feel like family! We'll come back again!
