We had a lovely stay at Mangawhai Lodge. It's located at the top of a hill and has outstanding views. Jeanette our host was absolutely lovely and made it feel like we were staying with family. Breakfast was fantastic and freshly cooked each day with the choice of continental with yummy fresh fruit salad as an added bonus or a eggs, bacon and such. The lodge is not right in town center, but it's a short 15 walk to get to the cafes and restaurants. It's also within 10 to 1 hour drive to many awesome experiences and places. So you can see beautiful beaches and go surfing near by, do walking routes and explore cliffs, forrest and waterfalls or even a little city life in Whangarei.

Located in Ruakaka, the recently renovated Logies Lodge provides accommodation 34 km from Whangarei Art Museum and 34 km from Claphams Clock Museum.

This wee lodge was perfectly located for our granddaughter's 1st birthday. The wee lodge was immaculately clean, super comfortable, and so quiet. The Pukekohe and her four babies were beautiful and we enjoyed watching them go about their day. Our hosts were amazing. Their communication was consistent and even organised for my jacket I left behind to be dropped off at my son and daughter in laws to be returned. We highly recommend Logies Lodge to everyone travelling to the coastal town of Ruakaka. Thank you so much for an amazing stay.
