Modern, clean looking room. I really like the upper floor. Bed was very comfy. Shower was great, good water pressure and the showerhead was at a good height (at most of my stays elsewhere they are always too low, made for midgets).

Guests can enjoy the local Kaitoke Regional Park and Rivendell site (from scenes in Lord of the Rings movie) and access to the Remutaka bike trail. Aston Norwood Chalets is a 30-minute drive from central Wellington as well as the Martinborough winery district.

Location was perfect for Kaitoke Regional Park and the Rivendale filming locations on our own. This was one of my favorite stops on both islands. Clean, large space, private. Breakfast at the cafe and gardens were amazing.

The room was nicely set up and is equipped with a small snack bar including a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster as well as provided fruit, breakfast cereals, coffee and tea. The bathroom and shower were nice and clean. The water pressure is great and shampoo/body wash were provided. The WiFi is fast and easy to connect to. The location is close to Upper Hutt City Centre with approximately 5 min drive time.

The chalet was so quiet despite being just off a highway. The outlook over the mature trees was stunningly beautiful and completely relaxing. The Lodge is two minutes walk from the train station to Wellington and five minutes walk from a beautiful park which leads to the Hutt River pedestrian and cycle path. There are two bar/restaurants attached to the Lodge and a Liquor Store beside it.John TYoung couple
