Really loved this old school motel, comfortable beds and ideal hosts. In the morning surprised with a kid’s playground (see pic). One can park directly in front of the entrance of the apt.

Excellent location for me. Good bus services, both local and Intercity within a few minutes walk. Bus from the airport stops nearby too. Very comfortable bed with electric blanket. Heater in room. Kitchen nicely equipped. I felt I had everything I needed except a hairdryer, and I kept forgetting to ask for one at the right moment, as I’m sure the hosts would have given me one. Really pleasant hosts, helped me sort out a ticket on the Picton coach. Room cleaned every day. I’ll very likely be staying there again.

The Abbella Lodge Motel was perfect for our family stay. The accommodation was comfortable, and the staff were great - around when needed and in the background, but contactable, when not. The location was perfect - a relatively short drive from the airport, a bus stop with regular buses into the city centre right outside, and with the added bonus of a large supermarket across the road. Would definitely recommend and return for another stay.

Sherbourne Motor Lodge is just a 15-minute walk from the Town Hall and a 20-minute walk from the city centre of Christchurch.

Great Motel....good size room and bathroom etc ..all exceptionally clean. And the bonus of a swimming pool as well. Washing machine/dryer facilities there also which was very handy.
