Staff were very friendly and full of advice on weather, shuttles, etc for the Tongariro Crossing walk, before and during our visit. The packed lunch provided for the walk really was top quality and more than enough !! Room was very clean and comfortable, while bars/eateries are only a short walk away.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities.

Stayed in a clean and tidy basic double room. Nice location with a couple of food/drink options within walking distance. Had free laundry which was useful after a few days walking around Tongariro.
