Tidy room, comfortable linens. Staff is really nice. Checking in was a breeze. They allowed us to cancel extra night stay (foc) as we have decided to continue driving towards Rotorua the next day. The laundry facility is a big bonus. Location is close to town and we can park in front of the room.

What a little gem! The views from the tree house were incredible, and it was extremely private and serene. Everything was immaculate. The bathroom was gorgeous - the most beautiful views! Loved that there were motion sensor lights to guide you to the bathroom at night, which is a short walk away. The hosts were lovely, and made us feel very welcomed.

This is a beautiful house in a lovely rural setting with the most glorious views over the countryside and the coast. Kay is a wonderful host who goes out of her way to make your stay memorable, recommending places to visit and restaurants for dinner. There are fresh flowers everywhere and the breakfast setting is exquisite. This has been our second visit to The French Country House and it certainly will not be the last.
