We had a lovely stay at the Apple Cider Lodge watching the tides moving in and out, eating farmfresh eggs for breakfast, sipping cider as a sundowner and sleeping in heavenly beds. The Lodge provided everything we needed and even more (our 2.5 yo was so happy about the toys). The surrounding offers many great spots to explore as beaches, regional parks, restaurants, shops, weekend markets and many more.

We spent only one night here which was a mistake We had the upper flat and it has a stunning view over the bay. It is very well equipped with all you need in the kitchen, which is also the large living room. Very good beds, nice shower/ bathroom and all the snorkeling etc. equipment available. Also a huge selection of leaflets about the area, a very nice map with all places of interest hand made with pins. We can fully recommend this place

Lovely stay with two small kids at Kotare house. The hosts Alysn and Brian are super welcoming and we felt at home. The kids loved the garden and we enjoyed the spectacular views. Swimming in Anchor Bay nearby is just perfect.

Gem of a place off the beaten track but within short distance by car of Matakana, Brick Bay, Snell beach and several nature parks and wineries. Furthermore the owners are very helpful and serve breakfast with ao fresh free range eggs and blueberries from their own gorgeous garden.

Cosy comfortable studio, clean and lovely views. Modern bathroom, with hot shower and comfortable bed. Cooking on BBQ was fine, no elements or toaster but its off the grid so to be expected. Excellent communication with hosts. We enjoyed our stay.
