Cabins in Nosy Be

Accommodation amidst lush and well-kept tropical garden with an infinity pool, just like in the description and in the photographs. Bungalows/cabins surrounded by mango trees provide views of picturesque sunsets on the sea. Meals in the local restaurant vary periodically and cater to different preferences. The staff are outgoing and helpful. Trips can be discussed and tailored on the spot, and pick-up from the airport is reliable in spite of delayed flights. The place to stay for a week or more.

We have the most fabulous stay at the lodge, which we will not forget. Even before we arrived, the lodge manager was extremely helpful arranging our transfer from Nosy Be. We were greeted by the staff with a fresh coconut and a snorkel kit. We enjoyed our afternoon snorkelling and we even saw a green turtle right in front of the lodge. The room was comfortable and again, the manager was extremely accommodating to all of our requests and arranged our activities. The food was fresh and delicious! There’s not a bad comment I can say about this stay! I am already dreaming of coming back! Thank you for having us!

The lodge has everything you need, it feel like home and the location is ideal. Walking distance to the beach and directly on the main road so easy so scooter or tuktuk around. The staff/the family is incredibly sweet and helpful!

Lovely place, lovely staff, has everything you need. A little far from everything but a great getaway. we had scooters to move around so it was perfect. Owner was very helpful too. Would recommend.

The property surpassed my expectations! It is a hidden gem, nestled away from the hustle and bustle. It feels like a boutique tree house. The rooms are amazing and such good value for money. The lodge offers a generous and delicious breakfast which is the best I’ve had on Nosy Be so far. The property is very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Before arrival Valerie the owner assisted us with all our transfers ensuring everything ran smoothly. Upon arrival our bags were carried up for us and we were greeted with warm smiles and deliciously cold welcome drinks. Treated like rock stars. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our bed was beautifully decorated with flowers and a heart shaped towel for our honeymoon. There were even hot showers (not that you need them) but after a week of cold showers it was very pleasant. The food was amazing and overall very good value for money. The Happy Komba team went above and beyond for us. I see why Valerie named it Happy Komba lodge as the staff are all very happy with big smiles always. We will definitely be back.

Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. This place is a piece of paradise, and one of my all time favourite holiday. The location is quiet and the set up is absolutely beautiful, allowing for full relaxation. It's so well designed that you feel alone, in the middle of the nature, yet 100% taken care off by the lovely and discreet staff. A special thanks to Annie who made my stay magnificent and to Yvette, who's probably the most diligent and customer oriented owner I ever met. Thank you!
