Cabins in Udawalawe

I liked how clean it was. The stuff is kind of a nice family that hosted us really good. They served us a big healthy brakefast with vegtabels, fruets, fried rice nodels with spicy dressing. The whole expirience was amazing.

Very hostile and communicative owner. Very nice and quiet place. Just monkeys sometime run over the roof and make noise. Accomodation is roughly 600m from the elephant orphanage. There is nothing in direct vicinity but jungle. Good breakfast after safari. Safari arranged by the owner, we got picked up directly in the accommodation.

Very hospitable, helpful and friendly service. Room was clean and cozy. Both, dinner and breakfast were fabulous. Also the safari guide service was excellent. 10/10, will recommend!!

the room was spacious and clean, with a lovely outdoor jungle view. The hotel arranged a safari for us, which was well-organized and an unforgettable experience. The pool, food, and service were all good and matched my budget. they are not greedy for money like other hotels.

The hotel hospitality was great. Exceptional staff. enjoyed the pool as much. Even at late night I was able to order from them and nominal fees was paid. the morning safari we went for udawalawe park was even great.

We stayed 2 nights in this village jungle oasis among coconut trees, at this super friendly family. Great location, a bit off the beaten path but very comfortable, great huge bed, no mosquitos. Super shower! Our hosts cooked great food for us, we got the best breakfast during our 3week stay in Sri Lanka. We also went on a super full day safari with Sujee, was a highlight of our trip, saw many elephants!

The room was really nice, great AC, very clean and lots of space. We stayed two nights and had an evening meal here which was excellent. The host Kasun, was super friendly and very helpful, he sorted out additional transport for us as well as our safari, which we greatly enjoyed. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Michael is a person with a kind heart. It was great to meet him and to know a bit more about his life and the place. He made all the decoration himself and everything is very original. The place had everything we needed, it was quiet, clean and comfortable. Also very affordable. Michael can propose you some affordable safari tours if you ask him. Thank you for your hospitality

I would not like to share this cool secret place with anyone, but the owner asked me to leave a review. A wonderful family of very kind people lives here. Therefore, I would not like people with an exclusively consumer attitude to come here, but let's hope that the one who reads this review is not a bad person. The place is located far from the main intersections, in the wilderness of the village, respectively, there are no tourist touts, and heaps of pestering toukers, but just very quiet and beautiful. The houses are very cozy, well renovated, the rooms are bright, spacious and with high ceilings. The houses themselves are in the shade of tall various trees: mangoes, coconuts, jackfruits, lemons and tangerines also grow, and everything else. Small monkeys sometimes walk through the trees, but they are cultured and timid, small water lizards live in the stream. In the lowlands near the houses there is a streamlet. There is a small clean river at the back of the plot. Simple small shops with fruits and household needs are within walking distance here. If you need to get to Cargills or to the Wine shop, then the owner is always ready to let you down if he is free, you can also order a PickMe, of course, I myself sometimes went by bus for 60 rupees. I have eaten a lot of places in Sri Lanka, but without hypocrisy I can say that the hostess here cooks perfectly. The food is always fresh, the portions for one are even excessively large. Here they can really cook European food normally, without any masala and not spicy. Fried or stewed chicken with a side dish and with a fresh vegetable salad was always served to me here, if I had asked, they would have served beef (well, I think you know that it's a little inappropriate in Sri). It is undoubtedly better to take food from the owners, because for this money in the cafes of Udavalava, you will not find such quality. Wi-Fi is stable, the connection is fiber-optic.

My partner and I stayed two nights in Glimra Eco lodge and this was a true pleasure. Roshani and her husband are such amazing hosts and so helpful, it couldn’t be any better. They did everything to make our stay memorable. From cooking delicious meals, to arranging a safari for us in Udawalawe, which is cheaper compared to the usual prices. Roshani also took us to a place nearby to see the beautiful sunset from up above a hill. The views from the ecolodge are amazing. One morning we could even see an elephant having a bath on the other side of the lake!
