We really enjoyed staying at Wild River Side. Off the main road and set in a beautiful garden with spice trees. We had dinner there and had some of the best Sri Lankan vegetable curries so far on our trip. Owner organised transport from Ella and to Tangalle at a reasonable price as well as the jeep for the safari. The cottage was clean and had warm shower and AC.

great place with an amazing staff and really good food. The location is just a few minutes away from shopping, historic landmarks, and restaurants. make it to the safari before the crowds came. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again!

The rooms are simple and clean, set in a lush, green environment close to the safari. The place is absolutely beautiful — right in the middle of the jungle — and what makes it even more special is the kindness of the owners. Madhu gave us a wonderful cooking class; she’s an exceptional chef! The rice and curry were delicious, the Sri Lankan lunch was incredible, and even the safari picnic was perfect. This place is a true delight for the eyes, the heart, and the taste buds.

Kasun is an exceptional host, and from the moment we arrived, we felt extremely well taken care of. The cottage itself is beautiful, set in a stunning and peaceful garden. Everything is of very high quality: a very large and comfortable bed, clean bedding, a spacious and spotless bathroom, hot water, good Wi-Fi, and air conditioning for those who want it. The value for money is simply unbelievable — 33 USD for two nights including breakfast. We also booked a private safari through Kasun, and it was an outstanding experience. Compared to other options, the price was very reasonable, and the safari itself was absolutely incredible. Kasun and the jeep driver were extremely attentive and kind. The safari was initially planned from 5:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., but it actually lasted until 5:00 p.m. — they are not strict with time at all, their priority is clearly the guests’ satisfaction. The meals were another highlight of our stay. Kasun’s wife cooks divinely well — truly delicious food. She even asked us what we liked and prepared dishes based on our preferences. Breakfast was amazing, and we were also pleasantly surprised that laundry service was offered to us for free, which was a very thoughtful gesture. We have had many great experiences and encounters since the beginning of our trip in Sri Lanka, but this one truly stood out. We highly recommend this place and would return without hesitation. Michael is a person with a kind heart. It was great to meet him and to know a bit more about his life and the place. He made all the decoration himself and everything is very original. I had an absolutely amazing time at Nature Glow Cottage. The family is so lovely. They helped me organize the safari tour, which was really great! The food there was incredible. And I got to olay badminton and Karam with their son, which was a beautiful experience. Thank you so much for everything!
