We liked the owners, very warm people, maybe even a bit shy but very eager to help with everything extra we needed. The rooms were very big, clean and quite modern. The location is a 5 min tuktuk drive from center, which is actually a good thing, cause the center is very crowded and noisy. Good value for money, would definitely recommend.

My sister and I had an amazing stay here! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The room was just as shown in the pictures—clean, spacious, and with a spotless, well-maintained bathroom. Everything we needed was there. The host/owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help. Such a caring soul! One of our favourite parts was the view—waking up to the magical lake view every morning was unforgettable. Since the property is slightly outside Kandy town, it was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. We absolutely loved our time here and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy!

A beautiful and peaceful place with an incredible view. The rooms are clean and well maintained, offering a perfect spot to relax away from the bustle of Kandy city. The beds were a bit noisy when moving, and our room was close to the breakfast area, so we occasionally heard some morning chatter but nothing that disturbed our stay. Overall, a lovely experience and definitely worth visiting!

This was truly a hidden gem, we loved everything about our stay at Kandy River Lodge. The apartment was spotless with essentials for cooking if required. The view of the river from the balcony was beautiful. The host had water bottles tea and coffee available to us and offered us a complimentary transport from the train station. The host was available to help with any requests and very responsive. If you are staying in Kandy I would definitely recommend staying at Kandy River Lodge. If we get the opportunity to come back to Kandy we would definitely book again
