Best breakfast we had during our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka! Lovely Cabanas & super kind owner and team :) Also the dog Roxy is so cute! Walking to the beach takes a while but with a TukTuk it’s only 5 min and costs 1.00-1.50 Euro 😊 Would definitely come back 😊

I stayed for 02 nights there. The chalet was amazing. Highlight of the place was the private pool, absolutely loved it!! The room and the bathroom was very spacious & clean. Room offers all the facilities (living area, satellite tv, wardrobe, tea/coffee maker, etc...) you need for a perfect getaway. Breakfast was very good with few options to choose from. They had an À la carte menu for lunch and dinner, which was also very good. The property was also kept very clean and neat. Wish the owner and the team the very best for future! Would definitely visit again!!

I was warmly welcomed by a very friendly family who made me feel right at home. The room was one of the best I stayed in during my month-long trip in Sri Lanka—immaculately clean, spacious, and featuring a modern interior. It was also free of bugs or roaches, which added to my comfort and relaxation. The location is perfect, right in the heart of town, with everything conveniently within reach. The only potential downside is the proximity to train tracks, which can get loud when a train passes. Personally, this didn’t bother me since I’m a deep sleeper, but light sleepers might want to keep this in mind. Overall, an excellent stay that I highly recommend!

My husband and I really enjoyed everything. The room was perfect for two, in a quiet and beautiful location. The decor was lovely, and all the necessary kitchenware was provided. There was a cool and friendly puppy, and it took 7 minutes to get to the beach. The area was clean. We were checked in early in the morning after the flight, which was very pleasant, and homeowners helped organize the transfer. They also assisted in solving all our questions.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The place itself is truly beautiful, surrounded by nature, perfect for relaxation and enjoying the authentic atmosphere of the area. The owners were incredibly kind, helpful, and always available whenever we needed anything, which made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were delicious, full of fresh and local flavors. Writers Lodge was perfect in every way. It was well located , fully stocked and fitted with high quality towels and linen. The villa was the best of its kind in Galle. The staff are also polite and accommodating.

This was a gem of a find for me. First time to Sri Lanka and there was trepidation on my part about the trip. However Malik the owner and his family made it so easy for me. The accommodation is a clean, modern and comfortable bungalow set in the garden of the family home. The accommodation is 10 minutes from the centre of Galle but in a quiet location. An ideal location for trips to the beaches, Galle fort and other local attractions. Malik and his family are so helpful, nothing too much trouble. The home cooking, breakfast and dinner is delicious and they offer traditional cookery lessons in their home kitchen. Malik even sorted my transport from the airport to the accommodation and also had a SIM card sorted for me. Local transport to and from the bungalow is so easy to arrange, I used the pick me up app. I fully recommend this accommodation. Enjoy.
