Sampath village was an absolute delight! The room and facilities were pristinely clean and comfortable, outfitted with thoughtful touches like a tea kettle and luggage rack. They let me do a much-needed load of laundry, including a dryer so no need to wait a week for clothes to dry in the humidity. The free bikes were fantastic for exploring the beautiful city. The manager Shan was a godsend - he helped so much to arrange taxis, travel, and even a safari for me and a group of other guests - and he even woke up before sunrise to prepare breakfast for us when we went! He went above and beyond in every way and made my stay both easy and unforgettable.

Place was beautiful. And the rooms were very clean. Place is owned by a Family and their son runs the resort. Uncle and Aunty were very friendly. The room we bought(for 4 people) is a separate part of the house they live in. But was isolated properly. Eventhough we checked in very late they were very welcoming. We didnt order any food from them so can't evaluate that. Overall a very comforting, secure place. Highly Recommend for a Family or a Group of Friends.❤️

It is a single mother in charge of her bed and breakfast. Although it is basic It is super clean well maintained. She is adorable and would recommend to stay if you’re not looking for luxury. Provide good breakfast and also provide a tour to take you around for an acceptable price. The driver is her friend and he is super kind. You can spend four hours to visit the ancient city for a really acceptable price Would recommend strongly to do it.

Value to money is perfect! The budget rooms are simpel and exactly as described. The location is beautiful, away from the big street and the covered sitting area has a nice view to the paddy fields. The service staff were exceptional friendly and helpful. Especially Pramoth is with his young age absolutely brilliant in his job. Thank you so much, for making our stay so wonderful 😊🙏

The geographical location of the lodge is incredible, in the heart of an archaeological site, a few meters from the ponds of Kuttam Pokuna. The managers are extraordinary people. We were welcomed with great kindness and a great desire to share on their part. We had come to discover the site of Anuradhapura but we received much more. The mother and grandmother showed us how they cooked traditional meals. And the father, he is a regional guide. He introduced us to the whole history of the sites and Buddhism. Very cultured, his knowledge goes beyond the stupas and sites. He also shared with us a lot of things about animals (some rare ones that we were able to observe in the garden), wildlife (he introduced us to some leaves and berries that we even tasted), minerals (we found together some small precious and semi-precious stones). We were traveling with our 3 children aged 10, 7 and 2. They loved playing with their 8 year old boy. Everything was absolutely superb. Thank you 🙏

This was a really lovely property in the forest, right next to all the temples and that. Stayed one night and enjoyed being there, real jungle experience with monkeys, frogs and ants everywhere. Don’t let that worry you though, it’s part of being in the jungle. The facilities make up for that.
