It's a very special place. We heard Etna humming sounds in the night. Everything's perfect. We would like to revisit this place in a few years and see how it grows. For now it's just perfect, like some kind of magical sanctuary in the woods, in the vicinity of volcano.

If you want to stay on Etna, somewhere quiet and peaceful, this is the place! It is 30 minutes drive to the nearest town with stores/cafes etc to get supplies (the tap water isn't drinkable by the way!) There is lots of good walking through the woods and amazing views of the volcano. The chalet is extremely comfortable and the mattress was perfect!! Marco was extremely helpful, we arrived early and he made the effort to give us access remotely before he could arrive to show us everything personally. We loaded up on firewood and spent 2 days sitting by the fire, and had several visits from the local fox, who is quite timid but very cute and always looking for food! Electricity, WiFi, hot water, heating etc all perfect.
