This is the second time we have stayed in a shepherds hut at The Craven Arms in Appletreewick. They are very small but very comfortable - just be sure to be organised as there is not a huge amount of room. I was a little worried that we would be cold given our visit was in November, but the under floor heating meant it was actually very warm. The shepherds huts are located behind the car park, which in turn is behind the Craven Arms. The staff there (particularly Finn and Steve) were great - friendly, sarcastic! and couldn't do enough for us. The food and drink in The Craven Arms is great. It does get very busy and we thought that we had left it too late to book a table but they managed to squeeze us in. The location is great with many lovely walks right on the doorstep. We will definitely be back.

Stayed there for three nights, working remotely until afternoon and then going hiking. There are a lot of nice hikes nearby - including a trail that starts just on the other side of the river. Car is necessary for access and for trails further away, but it's easy to find and has plenty of space to park. There are multiple dining options and a small grocery store just a short walk away. The place itself is lovely - beautiful peaceful location with amazing view, well kept facilities and delicious breakfast with enough options to try something new each morning. You can also meet local wildlife - birds, squirrels and local cats were frequent visitors on the balcony, deer and sheep wandering about in the distance. We also took a dip in the Wharfe, which I highly recommend to everyone who can handle the chilly water!

This was the most amazing place I have ever stayed in. The views were incredible, I could happily stay on the balcony all day and watch the cattle grazing. Sharon was such a wonderful host, very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were brilliant and the environment is very dog friendly. I will 100% definitely be staying again.

The pod was large enough to move around in it with ease. The space outside was generous to relax and the hot tub ready to enjoy. The staff was really helpful in getting us small things we needed.

Amazing views, huge decking, modern, comfortable lodge with everything you would need for your stay. Gabrielle (host) was fantastic throughout, helpful & quick with replies to any queries. Myself, wife & 2 girls (11 & 3mth) had a 3 night stay. The location of the lodge is stunning overlooking the countryside. It's soo quiet & peaceful with a private gated entrance. We all slept well, with the 2 comfortable double beds. The shower was hot & and powerful. Loads of towels, spare linen, throwovers. A really comfortable lounge with big smart tv & a fully equipped modern kitchen. We spent the days exploring & sightseeing in the area. So good after a long day out, to get a shower & relax in the lounge, patio doors open to let in the breeze with a movie on Netflix. Spotlessly clean with a few personal touches. We would highly recommend & will return ourselves in the future. Thanks Gabrielle

All cabins in Malham

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
