Everything you needed and more. The hosts Stacy and Mark were very informative and were at hand for anything we needed. What a wonderful place and set up they have it was like stepping back in time to “Little house on the prairie” only with mod cons. There were boats if ya fancied a row on the lake, there were bikes if ya fancied biking into the village, a kids play area, bbq facilities and much more. We would defiantly be back. The Christmas tree and chocolates left in our accommodation were a nice touch. The lodge itself was lovely warm and cosy, it kept its heat so i was happy 😊. Long Melford has plenty of pubs, tea rooms and shops. Also we went into Sudbury for the market and the Christmas tree Exhibition! Have a TRULY WONDERFUL weekend. Thank you Stacy and Mark.

We’ve just returned from the most incredible stay at Lakeview Lodges, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly by Mark and Stacy, the most thoughtful and accommodating hosts you could wish for. Their attention to detail, kindness, and genuine passion for making every guest feel special truly made our stay unforgettable. Traveling with four children can sometimes be a challenge, but not here – our kids were in absolute heaven! The facilities were spot on: safe, clean, and packed with things to keep them entertained for hours. But the real highlight for all of us was the stunning lake. The kids spent every spare moment by the water – exploring, fishing, paddle boarding, and enjoying the peaceful beauty of the surroundings. It felt like we’d found a hidden slice of paradise. The lodge itself was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for a family of six. Every little touch had been thought through, from cozy bedding to the layout that gave everyone their own space without feeling crowded. We honestly didn’t want to leave – and we’re already planning our return. A huge thank you again to Mark and Stacy for creating such a magical place, my little one hasn’t stopped talking about his new best friend ‘Mark’ SO sweet!

Lovely spot in the countryside. The property was in immaculate condition, and the owners deserve great credit for its presentation. I enjoyed the extra space, the garden, the excellent facilities including washing machine and dryer (very important for travellers). I also appreciated the welcoming basket. There's a local pub nearby serving decent meals and also a convenience store.

The lodge was superb. Very clean, very well thought out and comfortable. The enclosed patio area was perfect for the dogs and it was easy to park next to the property. The standard of furniture, fixtures and fittings was very high and the property was decorated tasetfully.

I loved our stay, the gentleman who owned this property was lovely and allowed us to roam his garden and pick apples of the trees! Bed was so comfy and was lovely watching the planes frying from Stansted airport! Very relaxed stay.

Stunning place to relax, we have since booked again for the August Bank Holiday as well as the cabin next door for my Mum, everything you could want, so quiet and peaceful, nice easy walk across the fields to Boxford and had a Sunday lunch in the White Hart, there is a handy shop in the village as well for anything you have forgotten. Can't wait to go back 😊
