It was very secluded with a beautiful view of the ocean, but still near the town of Lochinver. It was clean and very cozy! Fully equiped kitchen and even some TV streaming services available. We will definitely come back!

We really enjoyed the location so close to the beach for a New years dip!! It had everything we could have wanted. The communication was incredible and we loved it so much.

Our previous booking for the day had cancelled at the last minute and we had to find something quickly within couple of hours and that’s how we ended up here. Boy , what a beautiful place to stay. Clearly sign posted and was given the right instructions on how to reach the property as it is just off the main road. The views were breath taking. The owner had realised about our urgency and was kind enough to keep some eggs, cereal and the best part oat milk as I was lactose free. He even came out in the cold night to check on us asking if we had enough food with us for the night as we arrived quite late at the property. The biscuits , herbal teas and marshmallows were a treat. We really enjoyed our stay here . Early morning we were greeted by the lovely chickens. The ladies gave us company as we had breakfast while enjoying the view. As we were leaving he even came to help us with our things and the gates. Couldn’t have asked for more. This was the best stay in our NC500 week.

I have given a top rating to other properties before but these pods have just reset the bar to 6stars. Really beautiful setting and just such a luxurious experience- very calming after hectic days seeing all the local sights etc in the area on NC500. Very pleased we booked 2 nights.

The cabin has everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. It’s so homely you don’t want to leave to go exploring! The bed is super comfortable and all the little touches just make it. We will be bad soon for another stay. We travelled up in stormy weather and the hot tub was just what was needed after a long drive!!

Another perfect 10 for this place. Hopefully it will be free next time I am planning to visit. ;-) I booked the house because of its view, the fireplace, the hot tub (with a view) and because the price was within my range. But what I got was much more than that. I instantly felt at home, even though I traveled alone, I never felt unsafe. Easy check-in, hot tub was already on a nice temperature. and the VIEW: my phone is full of pictures with changing light and every 5 minutes my favorite motive - Suilvan - seemed to look different. There were 3 bedrooms, I took the one facing to Suilven and in the morning, with open curtains, you feel like he watches you over. Kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook everything you like. Welcome pack with sweets and marmalade as well as breakfast tea, which I enjoyed next to the fireplace snuggled in the chair and enjoying the view, sometimes even deer coming up to the house. Everyday I struggled getting out of the house, because it was so cosy but the weather was that good that I needed to get out and explored the surroundings. Because of off-season I did not meet one hiker on the way to Achmelvich, but this was high season for me. I strongly recommend getting there in autumn, because of the colours. When you travel from Edinburgh airport directly to Waterloo House you would need 5 hours (according to google maps), but with all the nice views it took me 8 to get to Lochinver, and 7 to go back (almost same route). But it is all worth it! Surely coming back.
