In all honesty, there are no words strong enough to describe the feelings that you experience when visiting this place. First off, the actual accommodation is wonderful, really pretty and very clean. The hotel features a restaurant which serves homemade meals which are prepared on the spot and taste great. We opted to have dinner at the hotel all the nights we spent here because we simply wouldn’t bother to look elsewhere after dining here once - and we usually like to explore more options. In terms of service the hotel helped us organize our trips and excursions around the area, which was very convenient for us and, surprisingly was settled at prices very similar to the ones we found online (by unknown to us organizers) - sometimes even better! Lastly and most importantly, the attentiveness and kindness of the staff has been truly unbelievable. Every single person from the staff helped and answered every question we had and they were always happy to do so. We have travelled in many places around the world, yet the Nubian people have really been spectacularly amazing, both in terms of their hospitality and their kindness. Never have we ever felt so sincerely welcomed by accommodation staff. Each and every one have been unique in their own way and each and everyone stole a piece of our hearts. We will be back! Real gem in the busy Aswan. The place is beautiful and very well decorated. The terrace is very peaceful and romantic. The staff is super friendly, and really available to ensure you have easy connections with the other side of the Nile at any time and the best possible stay.

Unique atmosphere, with many Nubian design references. Island setting with boat taxi available, offers rare chance of peace and tranquillity apart from the busy streets of the mainland. Subtle lighting at night adds sophistication and allows the wonderful view of Philae temple [of Isis] to be fully appreciated. The adjoining Solaih Nubian restaurant offers authentic menu using local ingredients - be sure to order at least a day before. We used Whatsapp to list our food selection and our choices were all prepared for our visit. It paid to be adventurous and the addition of lentil and spinach dishes with meat options, was flavoursome. Portions are large. Only the bread disappointed somewhat. Remember to take mosquito repellant as this saved us - there were quite a few around even in December.
