All meals were excellent, served in the wonderful restaurant that has a vaulted ceiling yet is open at ground level. Staff were extremely helpful in arranging transport for us both to and from the hotel. Cannot fault the staff who were friendly and very efficient. Thoroughly recommend.

This is one of the most stunningly beautiful locations I have ever visited. Staff and food were magnificent! We were in the heart of some of the world’s most exciting wildlife. We felt safe all the time. We were supported to dial up or down our sense of adventure to the level we wanted. Pure paradise!

Being in the middle of nature on a tree house was amazing, we could see and hear the birds and other animals around, the house was super confortable and we had everything we needed or more. Gilly was more than kind and helpful, we absolutely loved our stay here.

Four Monkeys is a unique place to stay: as soon as you walk in there is a real sense of being within the jungle and a part of what makes the Osa peninsula so special. It's also situated by a beautiful wild beach with lots of birdlife to watch. Although a car makes life easy (20-30 mins drive south of Puerto Jimenez), once you're there you can just chill out and enjoy the immediate surroundings. Bring a few food supplies and live simply for little while. A new communal kitchen/ relaxation area and a yoga shala were in the final stages of completion when we were there. In the meantime you can use the host's kitchen to prepare meals and chat to fellow guests. It's relaxed. Our (really comfortable) bungalow was at the front and we woke up to sunrise and the sounds of animals and birds starting their day. The hosts were friendly and very helpful - and this became crucial as we had a medical emergency. Silvina was able to arrange an appointment with the local GP at short notice - for which we are so grateful. We had to curtail our stay and return to San José - but have resolved to return just as soon as we can.
