Cabins in Drake

Very clean and modern with great staff,very personal service

Provide an excellent breakfast everyday. Three separate bungalows with balconies and chairs for sitting outside. Hot water showers with fresh linens. Beach access right across the road where all the boats arrive for excursions. Management arranged water activity, snorkeling, etc, along with transportation to Drake airport. Staff was very friendly and helpful

The location is beautiful and quiet. It does take about 30 minutes from town to get there - for us novices. It is worth it. The soda at the end of the road is great. The birds were excellent. We saw no mammals though. On site staff were very helpful.

Sebastian and Maria were the most amazing hosts. We had to change plans at the last minute due to road closures and cancelled accommodation. After confirming last minute availability at Bajo Bosque, I had a WhatsApp message 5 minutes later from Sebastian re-assuring us he'd be waiting on the beach to transfer us to Bajo Bosque after our boat transfer from Sierpe (we highly recommend this route in to Drake Bay). On the first morning, Sebastian took us into town and pointed out the best shops to buy fruit, veg and store-cupboard supplies. Later in the week when we experienced a power outage, Sebastian was down in a heartbeat with a gas burner so we could make our morning coffee and breakfast. We saw so much wildlife from the balcony of Bajo Bosque, with messages from Sebastian each time he spotted a Sloth in the trees. The Macaws were also a common sight in the trees road-side. We enjoyed the easy 20 minute walk down to the start of the Drake Bay hiking trail (spotted a Tapir on the road at night!). We were travelling with kids, and there was never a complaint about the walking because we always saw so many exciting things long the way. Sebastian also offers transfers at a reasonable cost which are well worth it to explore more of the Drake Bay Hiking trail. Our change in plans meant that we stayed 3 nights longer than originally planned, spending 7 nights in total. This was in hind-sight such a great alteration to our itinerary because our stay at Bajo Bosque was hands-down the best part of our 3 week holiday in Costa Rica. We'd also highly recommend a creek tour with José whose knowledge of frogs is incredible!

Everything was perfect! I will book again Nothing was more relaxing than the sea view and the sound of the waves from the bungalow during my 3 weeks in CR. The jungle and all the animals. It felt unbelievable The sunset from the beach. MA-GI-CAL The river and the waterfall. The best surprise I am so grateful. The kindness of the staff who spent time to show me around.

Our stay in the Corcovado Green Cabin was a highlight and the perfect end of our Costa Rica trip! Raquel was so lovely and the cabin was just beautiful, very clean and located in such a peaceful area. We only needed around 10 min by walk to arrive at the beach, where we literally were the only 2 people! Our highlight was the great view which we enjoyed in the morning during breakfast or in the evenings watching the sunset. We totally recommend it and would come back any time! We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were so lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good, fruit, eggs, bread or pancakes each morning, accompanied by fruit juice and coffee. Very quick and economical laundry service too. Comfy beds and a very quiet location. A short walk to bars, restaurants, and the beach. Spacious room and lovely hot shower. It was one of our favourite stays on our 3 week trip and we wished we could stay for longer!

Location was amazing. Close to the beach, incredible views, awesome sunsets. Food was tasty and sufficient. Staff and others around the property and neighboring properties were all super friendly and helpful. Mario made yummy cocktails at the bar and was always willing and able to help out. The bungalows were comfortable and clean and I spent a lot of hours just reading a book in the hammock on the balcony. No AC but the fan was more than adequate to cool the room down at night and allow for a great sleep. No hot water but that really wasn't an issue as after a swim it was nice to rinse off and cool off under a cooler shower (the water is not really cold). I did an overnight trip to Sirena from here and it was easy to get the boat in and out and I'm sure any other tour would be equally as easy to arrange and organise. I wish I could have stayed longer and def hope to visit again in the future.

I was here for 5 nights oct 7-12 2022, the rainy season. -Arraigned airport pickup before i arrived. I arrived at airport and they were pulling up as i walked out the door. A very nice man that is the hotel driver, doesnt speak much english, drove me from airport to hotel, about 30-45 min drive depending on road conditions. We had to drive through a river that was not too deep, near airport. -The hotel was very nice, i was greeted by one of their sons that spoke english, as well as the mother and father who run the business. I paid with visa debit for the stay and cash for the driver. -Was shown to my cabin/bungalow. It was great, 3/4 sides is screen walls with curtains, a nice big bathroom, looks like brand new wood, 2 nice beds, even live flowers. The cabin has a balcony, with chairs and light, its nice for reading at night, view of surrounding forest/lawn. There is very nice flower bush right outside that humming birds love, you can hear/see a humming bird at least 1 every 10 min. The cabin is a short walk away from the main building, down a garden trail. Nice air flow because of the screens, and there is a ceiling fan too. Many outlets to charge things. -The food was GREAT. I am a very picky eater, i eat with my eyes (like a bird as my mother said), and i am mostly vegetarian except for some deep fried fish and chicken because it is good, they asked me what i perfered, and altho there was a language barrior as the mother and father dont speak english, they understood my meals and made a effort to give me food i would like. Fresh juice daily. -Drake bay is about 1 hour walk, with a bridge and one steep hill (the river crossing is only on the way to airport). Its a scenic walk, i did it a few times. Most times it was raining, but still nice. Or the hotel offers drives for a cost. They did tell me that i would get one free transport to and from town per day.
