Cabins in San Ignacio

Paula was amazing! Very helpful and friendly. The rest of the staff was very good too. Food was great, nice view from the restaurant. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean.

We loved the surroundings and staff. Rooms are a little older, but very clean and comfortable. Pool was really nice and well maintained. River tubing was fun, but a little hike to get to the entry and exit. We rented a car and drove from Belize City. Was easy to find, but road to the lodge was a bit rough and steep. Missed my AWD/4X4 on the last 2 miles. Meals there were excellent. We did not do the all inclusive. Overall it felt like a land based cruise where our family could do individual things during the day and we could meet up for meals and time at the pool easily.

Luxurious stay by the river. Don't be shy to ask for pickup by the owner in a 4x4 if your vehicle can't make it on a rainy day. It is worth the effort. The lodges are superbly furnished.

Everything ! The place is amazing, really beautiful, clean, new and peaceful ... The staff was great, thoughtful and worried about every single detail. Amazing place for vacations !!!! Even nicer than the pictures.

Loved everything about the place. Location on a rainforest preserve is fabulous, lots of trails to hike and things to see. Staff is as well trained as any Ritz Carleton. Food was incredible, with much of it grown locally on the nearby farm. We enjoyed the spa, the pool and the peace and quiet.

Hidden Valley Inn -- unexpectedly, I stayed in a lodge, within 7300 acres of wilderness in the Mountain Pine Ridge, 1 hour away from San Ignacio. I was greeted like a special guest, stayed in a beautiful villa, minutes away from the grand lodge, and the pool. There are kilometers of hiking trails, 5 major waterfalls on the property. I did the Butterfly trail, a 30 minutes by car, and a 30 minutes hike. Splendid! When you arrive at the falls and it's emerald lagoon, in the middle of lush jungle, you think that these few moments “Oh Mon Dieu" There they were all for myself, known as the “jewel of the property", featured in several tourist brochures of Belize. It took me nearly a month to come back to write this review. Simply because the experience is so exceptionally good that I don't know where to start. It was a dream experience that we keep talking about even weeks after leaving the place. "I want to go back to Pine Ridge Lodge" is a recurring sentence we say to each other. We even day-dreamed about moving to Belize and joining Neil. I could write thousands of words about Pine Ridge Lodge but that would exceed the limitation of the review length. All aspects were beyond perfect so I won't repeat all the check-box questions and answers that were already provided by Booking. I clicked on the faces with the biggest smile for all the questions and still feel that the smile is not large enough to reflect how our stay was. Neil and José's hospitality and genuine vibe was out of this world. We absolutely loved the daily routine of starting the day with a delicious breakfast tailor-made for us, accompanied by the sound of birds, the sounds of wind blowing on pine leaves, the golden sunbeam shining on our food, having a day out and coming back in the evening welcomed with a delicious home-made dinner at 19:00 that provides a lot of comfort and peace, spending the rest of the evening having very interesting conversations with Neil, being introduced to his beloved chicken and hearing his fascinating stories, walking back to our room in the dark watching so many stars in the dark sky that you would otherwise not have the chance to see anywhere close to cities, and falling asleep with the constant soothing sound of the waterfall right next to our room. I still drool every time I think of the beef cooked by Neil in his high pressure cooker. Maggie, one of the two super cute dogs liked to greet us and follow us around that added extra joy. We also very much appreciated not having wifi except in the dining area.

The location, close to the border with Guatemala, and in the forest, away from the hustle and bustle from San Ignacio town. The cabin was huge, clean and a well equipped kitchen. The porch was fantastic. Hearing the plethora of birds singing early in the morning. Being surrounded by the amazing flora, and the number od butterflies all over the place. Being entertained by a snake hunting gekos the last night we were there. Tge staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, with an incedible knowledge of the flora and fauna around us.

We tried almost the full menu and it was delicious. Great service, waitresses were so sweet and kind. Staff were always trying to make your vacation great and easy. They have so many attractions and things to do onsite. Affordable.
