We could go for hours talking about Beach Bungalow Yala and especially its people. babu, Roshan and the team are the best people we met in Srilanka and probably in the world. They are kind, generous, genuine, sweet, smiling all the time. The stay was unforgettable in everything, the place itself is heaven on earth, the food is wonderful, the beach, the dogs, the cats… and again what made everything special was the energy of the people. We will never forget them in our entire life and we are coming again to stay here and to visit them.

At the campground, units come with bed linen and towels. Staff were great. Incredibly accommodating. The location was extremely close to Yala National Park. After waking up for breakfast there were buffalo wondering around the site, which made it special. The room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast and dinner were also great, and were made very special as staff created a walkway and a dining area with fire lanterns.

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the campground's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. An absolutely unforgettable safari experience! Yala Mobile Camping provided the perfect balance of adventure and comfort. Our tent was incredibly comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. Thanks to our amazing guide, we had thrilling leopard sightings and countless other wildlife encounters. one night stay inside the national park ,its another experience for lifetime. in night we saw the Sloth bear and Leopard come close to our tent. staff is very knowledgeable they handle the encounter situation very politely. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants an authentic, luxurious, and truly wild stay in Yala.

The campground features a sun terrace and a picnic area. This was a delightful homestay in a small cabana adjacent the family home. I travelled solo a few days and decided to stay here, and am so glad to have found this gem. From the warm welcome, to the amazing food, to the lagoon safari to getting to know the lovely granddaughter who had a few days off school - I felt safe & secure with my comfort being their priority - I felt spoiled!! A heartfelt thank you, and I hope to return again.

Boasting a garden and views of river, Mallara RestSafari (Cabana & Family Restaurant) is a recently renovated campground situated in Malasnegalewewa, 42 km from Udawalawe National Park. This campground features free private parking and free shuttle service. The campground has family rooms. Had a wonderful experience staying at the RestSafari. The place is set up in a big area where one can rest comfortably, and looks out on the jungle, where many animals (mainly buffaloes, peacocks, elephants, varanes, foxes) pass by during the day/night. Owners (and staff) are taking good care and are very friendly & relaxed. Nice campfires and surprisingly few mosquitoes. Slept really well in the cabana (great experience!) in a nice, natural breeze, and my room had a nice viewing spot to lay down and look out over the jungle area. Possible to take safari’s from here. The food/drinks served were also real good. Happy to have stayed/rested here. For directions: many (if not all) busses from Ella/Wellawaya to Matara/Tissamaharama will pass close by the RestSafari. Get off at 22 Junction (bus drivers know). It will cost about Rs. 200-350, and from the Junction you can take a local bus, tuktuk or arrange something with the RestSafari.

À la carte and continental breakfast options with local specialities, pancakes and juice are available. A minimarket is available at the campground. It was an amazing stay with the glass roof cabana. Peacfull beach and calm lagoon view. Very delicious food. Peacock are funny , always on the glass roof.

There is a seating and a dining area in all units. Beautiful stay that transported me away to nature. The camp was stunning, with amazing outdoor meals, wonderful trails, and comfortable and well appointed tents. Beyond the site itself, everyone there was so caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. The safari was AMAZING- fun, educational, and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard and even a jungle cat. This is thanks to a keen eye and ability to know where to go, which was also away from the really busy sites so it felt much more private and enjoyable than expected.

Barbecue dinner is provided around a campfire. Free WiFi is available in the public areas of the property.

Family tents are provided based on requirement. All tents are fitted with comfortable beds, mattresses and pillows. Free drinking water will be provided. All bathrooms are equipped with a Hot & Cold shower. A great experience on the edge of Yala National Park. We had a wonderful safari and were lucky enough to see a leopard and sloth bear. Staff were amazing, and the food was wonderful.
