The hosts of the camp made our stay an incredible experience! The camp is beautiful, situated away from other camps. The tent was large and comfortable. We enjoyed camel meat and other specialities prepared on the burnfire for supper and a nice breakfast. There was also Omani coffee and tea with dates served on arrival. We enjoyed the dune drive with the host, which ended with a perfect sunset view. At night we climbed a nearby dune where we could see the starry sky. We recommend this place for an authentic experience !

I never imagined the experience would be so fulfilling. Staying in the desert is more than just an adventure – it’s about surrendering to the vastness of the dunes, the purest silence, the countless stars, and above all, the hospitality and vision of the young entrepreneur, Ali. His camp, Thousand Stars Desert, is simply a ten out of ten. Located deep within the Wahiba (Sharqiya) Sands, surrounded by untouched dunes, it offers only two fully equipped tents, which makes the experience truly exclusive. The fact that there are only two rooms transforms the place into something unique and deeply personal. I can’t imagine traveling all the way to the desert to be surrounded by tourists. Here, it’s just you – alone with the desert, or perhaps sharing it with one other lucky guest. My tent had a huge, incredibly comfortable double bed – as good as, or even better than, any five-star hotel. The interior felt completely cozy and inviting. At night, the temperature drops, but Ali has thought of everything: the bedding is perfect, and nothing is missing. The bathroom is just a few steps away, fully equipped and spotless – shower, toilet, bidet, mirror, toiletries – everything works perfectly. You genuinely feel at home, and then you realize: I’m in the middle of an immense desert! Next to the tent, there’s a raised platform – a sort of private viewpoint – with soft mattresses and cushions where you can lie down and watch the end of the sunset. For the beginning of it, you should climb the dunes themselves. The views are breathtaking: you can watch the wind slowly shape the sand, and later, under the night sky, a dazzling display of stars appears in complete clarity. Camels wander nearby, their silhouettes visible on the horizon at sunset or dawn – curious and gentle presences that complete the scene. When night falls, torches are lit throughout the camp, guiding your way.

Everything was just perfect! The owner is incredibely courteous and funny. Food delicious, additional entertainments above my expectations. There is pick up from the nearest village available so you don't need to have 4W car. 11/10 I deeply recommend this place!

Said, Al Farooq and the rest of the team were amazing! We got stuck in the sand dune in our car, trying to find the camp on our own (please don't do this), and both Said and Al Farooq went out of their way to help us out while still giving us an amazing experience at the camp. It was not easy to get the car out to say the least, but Said and Al Farooq never gave up and in the end we got it out! Apart from that the camp is cozy and authentic. The food was very nice! I wish I could give more than 10 stars. Thank you so much!

A very quiet and comfortable place. The location offers complete privacy. The staff were extremely friendly. (Highly recommended). Night Stars Camp is the perfect choice. ☺️⛺️

This was magical. Everything was great, attention is paid to the very last detail. The tent was beautifully decorated, cozy and lots of room. Being the only tent in the area, you really feel like you are the only 2 people in the world, lying under the starry night and waking up to an incredible sunrise (which you can see while lying in your bed). The food (dinner+breakfast) was delicious, meals prepared by private chef Omran like for kings and queens! Hamad was very friendly and helpful, he guided us through the dessert and took my husband dune bashing. So greatful for this unforgettable experience.

We loved our stay in the desert so much that we extended it by another night. The three tents are stunning, extremely comfortable, and beautifully decorated — much cozier than the larger nearby camp. Loay, our host, was amazing: he showed us around, picked us up, and made our experience truly unforgettable. Each tent has electricity for charging, lights, a solar shower, and a fan. The mattress was super comfortable. The camp is perfectly located up on the dune, not down by the road (on booking.com shown) the best spot in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast was delicious at the large camp next door, though it wasn’t as cozy as this one. A perfect desert stay!

What a magical experience. The dome is surrounded by beautiful desert. Very peaceful. The host was also very attentive and kind. Highly recommend staying here. Inside the dome is also very comfortable and well designed.
