It was a real privilege to be able to spend two nights at this fantastic location. Our hut was very comfortable and the nearby shared kitchen and bathroom hut was well equipped. Our host Alana was very welcoming and provided lots of useful information. We spent a lovely day at the station doing the nearby suggested walks and were lucky enough to watch the early morning clouds lift and get a view later on of Mount Cook. The clear skies on our second night afforded us a great view of the Milky Way. By the way, the gravel road up to the station is by no means difficult to negotiate and the end result is most definitely worth it.

The yurt, and kitchen and bathroom areas were well set up, comfortable, quirky, and very relaxing. We enjoyed the privacy and having the space to ourselves. Being snug inside, while the rain drummed on the roof one night was a bonus.

It boasted a beautiful view out across the bay and all the major amenities and smaller touches were perfectly on point. The eggs provided were delicious and we enjoyed cooking on the BBQ. The shower and baths had plenty of hot water and great pressure, so we enjoyed several long bathing sessions. The decor is modern and cosy, with plenty of coffee table books to keep us occupied. We enjoyed meeting the owner and had a good chat with Drew, who was very welcoming and helpful. Comms with Jana ahead of our stay were great too. It was the perfect spot for our baby-moon and a real treat. Best accommodation I've ever stayed in Golden Bay, would stay again in a heartbeat for our next special occasion and highly recommend to friends and family.

Comfortable and very relaxing not to to far from the shops the local bay, plenty of walking tracks and christchurch 40kms away. but just a short walk into the bush provides a comfortable clean and warm well put together little bush hut with a comfy bed and great veiw . the rustic bath warmed by gas fire provides a Great way to clean of and relax at the end of the day. the owner a very freindly and great guy made me and my partner fell at home and welcomed us with a good chat a smile fresh drinking water and gave us a run down on the local erea history places to eat and the feary from the bay to lyttelton thanks for the stay
