Welcome by staff was very good, very nice atmosphere in bar, food excellent for dinner and breakfast, bed comfy. Nice hot shower, spacious bathroom- we enjoyed our stay for concert nearby, highly commended.

Location is perfect, just outside the centre of Middlewich and an easy walk into the town. Walk in the opposite direction along the canal path and there's a working lock just a short walk away. There's a gastropub where you can watch the narrow boats negotiating the lock from the veranda of the pub. The landlady of the Newton Brewery Inn is very helpful and friendly and the drinks were very reasonable prices. There is a very large beer garden leading down to the canal with very picturesque walks along the tow path.

Beautiful room - very modern, spotlessly clean and spacious. The facilities in the kitchen and bathroom were excellent. Really recommend the safari room for the tv in the bathroom and the jacuzzi bath. I need one! Staff were fab - had some issues with the tv in the main room but staff sorted it. Key drop off only on check out which was great but would have liked to have said thank you!

All staff were welcoming, from where I sat watching the chefs putting meals together calmy and with care was a joy... a very calm environment to enjoy my meal. The bar area looks out on to the cheshire countryside, the sunset was beautiful
