Amazing location you feel like you are on another planet. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is built in the mountains. The buffet was very good. The views are amazing and you can get nice photos. There is also a mini hike which can be done for nicer views

I reserved 3 Martian capsules for my family and was amazing: everything clean, with AC and fresh water. If you want to try local food, you must do it here cause it was delicious and they even had the kindness of saving us some dinner cause we arrive late past 9pm. The Martian capsule is exactly as you see it in the pictures. The view at the night with the lights on across the mountain is spectacular, really beautiful. The jeep tour for 2 hours is great, even with a camel ride and great pictures.

I really loved the genuity of the place, truly local food and clean though simple lodgings. Compared to the other camps, the location of the camp in the desert is further from the village, so if you want to get the feeling of remoteness, go for it. I had never experienced such piece and quiet in my life as I did there. Mahmoud - the guide - is an experienced nice guy with plenty of knowledge of the local customs and is sensitive to visitors´ needs. While touring through the desert, he made us a delicious lunch and answered anything we asked about the Jordan culture or family traditions.

We had an amazing two nights in Wadi Rum with Eid and cannot rate it highly enough. We loved the full day tour, especially having Eid prepare us a delicious lunch. Everything was perfect. All the camps look similar and all of them have great ratings, so the point of difference is the guide and I fully recommend Eid. You'll be in good hands - he's extremely knowledgeable and kind and his prices are extremely fair and reasonable. He also offers the option of camping the night in the Wadi, which I would definitely do myself next time, he pointed out some of the places he likes to camp with family etc and they looked amazing. As for the accomodation: tent and bed were great, bathroom felt luxe for the desert, food was great, sunsets were beautiful. But I get the impression all the accomodation providers are offering the same product and even using the same facilities (there are hundreds of listed options on bookings.com and nowhere near that many camps actually in the Wadi). So I recommend focusing on getting a great guide at a great price - you absolutely can't go wrong with Eid. Just do it!

- super host and staff - incredible view from a spacious bubble in a special location - sunrise watching from your bed was top - chef in the kitchen mastered traditional dinner and breakfast - camp fire, as well as tours organized directly with the camp were excellent and good price. very good driver! - star gazing definitely worth it!

Wild Oryx camp is not the best just because of its location (it is away from other camps so you can really enjoy in silence), but also because of its owner Eid and all the staff that help with the services they offer (food, activities,...). These people are just amazing and they treat you as part of their family. They welcomed us with great lunch, took to the camel tour and made a delicious traditional dinner. After spending the night looking into the starts directly from our balloon tent, they took us to early morning balloon flight and after that to jeep tour through the desert. It all was really amazing, but the friendliness and hospitality is what will stay forever in our memories.

This stay was just perfection. Definitely one of the best places I have ever stayed in my life, and to which I'll surely come back. The location/view is amazing, and the bedrooms are super comfortable, with all you need: big bed, water, a lot of blankets for the wintertime, power supply and good internet connection at all times. Complete breakfast in a lovely dining room, that I also used to work from. Yet, I think what I loved the most was the friendliness of the family who owns the place. I felt so welcome and temporarily part of the family! I got to learn a lot about the life in Wadi Rum, it was a real pleasure and life experience that will always remain in my memory! I couldn't recommend more. <3

Everything was perfect at orbit camp! The location is great, away from other camps . The food is really delicious and suitable for vegetarians too. The bubble is clean, has a nice bed, air con, fridge and a shower, all you need in the desert ;o) sami the manager is very nice and helpful.
