ItalyI stayed in this camp for two nights with my family (my wife and 2 kids 18 and 21 years od) when we visited Petra as a part of a 10 days trip to Jordan. This was our first time in a camp (later we spent 3 nights in a camp in the Wadi Rum desert) and I must way that it was one of our top experiences.
The camp is in an isolated position, about 15 minutes by car from Wadi Musa, not very far from the entrance of Little Petra. The last part of the trip is on a gravel road, but don't worry: the camp can be reached with a regular car, just drive a bit slow and follow the signs. The camp offers about 20 tents and a very big common area where guests can socialise, play traditional games, drink a tea, and enjoy the meals (dinner and breakfast).
The tents are for 2 people, are very spacious and have a private bathroom. The beds are confortable and the nights are super quiet. Everything was very clean and curated.
The owner Mohammed was incredibly nice with us (the same for the rest of the staff) and we had a chance to talk to him for a few hours after dinner, which helped us a lot to learn amore about Jordan and about Mohammed's personal story. Not to mentions the Shisha, which was excellent! Thanks Mohammed.
We definitely recommend this solution if you visit Petra and don't wat to stay in a luxurious and expensive hotel, or if you want to escale the chaos of Wadi Musa and have a direct feeling of the desert.
