A good location for a relaxing holiday in Santa Clara-a-Velha, Poioruivo is a holiday home surrounded by views of the garden. The place is beautiful and silent. At night, the light pollution is low enough that you can actually see the stars. The water in the lake was wonderful throughout my stay, certainly warmer than Portuguese beaches. The houses are not as stuffy as expected. The best part is indeed the owners and hosts, Alipio and Maria, who are there to help you with whatever you need. Be forewarned, the place is really isolated. In each house there is phone reception and wifi and everything you need to cook. If need be, you can arrange to have someone buy you groceries in the nearby town and take them to. As such, you should expect to take your car there and have it stay there while you hike around the area or enjoy the isolation and peace of mind. I intend to return to do just that.

Situated along a natural lake in the Parque Natural da Costa Vicentina, Cerro Da Fontinha features extensive gardens with sun loungers. Amalia Beach and Carvalhal Beach are a 5-minute drive away. This place is an absolute paradise! Location is perfect and the place beautiful and comfortable. And of course the owners very welcoming. Their breakfast is delicious!

Set on the Sudoeste Alentejano and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, this property features accomodation in bungalows, a 7-minute drive from the beach. Amazing location, 5 mins from a great beach for a surf/swim, cafe on site and two amazing restaurants nearby (all open in the winter). The bungalow itself is extremely comfortable with all you could need to relax and enjoy, wifi is extremely fast too. If you like cats they have about 30 on site and many of them are friendly, can feed them too by asking at reception! All in all a wonderful place, best experience i’ve had during my travels so far. Would love to come back
