Jean-Philippe was by far one of the best hosts we've ever had, starting from the moment he welcomed us. We felt incredibly lucky that he was available to meet us at Papeete Airport—not only with a warm smile but also with a thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated. As we were on our honeymoon, it meant so much to be greeted by such a kind and genuine person. His home is exactly as pictured—if not even better. The pool was perfect, and one of the highlights of our stay was spending time with his lovely dog, Maya. She's such a calm and affectionate companion; we absolutely adored her. Jean-Philippe also gave us excellent recommendations during our stay, and the ones we followed were spot on. We also rented his car, which made getting around so much easier and more convenient. We're deeply grateful to have found someone like Jean-Philippe. Staying at his beautiful home was a wonderful experience, and our only regret is not being able to stay longer. Thank you so much for everything, and we truly hope to see you again!

Vanira Lodge is a recently renovated guest house in Teahupoo, where guests can make the most of its outdoor swimming pool and garden. Perfect for first night on island. Gorgeous views, gardens. Secluded, family friendly place. Dinner was O.K.

Peaceful, private, well maintained, very clean, well appointed, large space, with patio for outside dining and relaxing, plus a gazebo with a beautiful view. The attention of the onsite hosts was also exceptional.

TAHITI - Bungalow Arii, boasting a private beach area, is set in Papara, 26 km from Museum of Tahiti and 39 km from Paofai Gardens. Loved the proximity of the beach, and the cleanliness and how well appointed the bungalow was.

Set in Punaauia, within 2.2 km of Vaiava Beach, Bungalow Poerava Punaauia offers accommodation with air conditioning. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The views alone make this accommodation extremely unique and worth it. The host, Barbara, and her husband are very welcoming (they made us banana bread on arrival and had made us flower necklaces as it was our honeymoon!). The room was very clean and comfortable, there is an outdoor deck to enjoy the morning coffee.

Located in Teahupoo, tahiti-bungalow at Teahupoo: beachfront with pountoon and mini pool offers a balcony with sea and mountain views, as well as a year-round outdoor pool, public bath and open-air... Very private and tranquil cabin with a great view over the sea and to the mountains. Snorkeling and kayaking the beautiful waters and coral garden directly from the house.

Staying at the bungalow was truly unforgettable. The setting is absolutely stunning and peaceful seclusion all in one. The bungalow itself was beautifully maintained, comfortable, and offered unbeatable views. It’s the perfect escape for anyone looking to relax, unwind, and experience nature at its best. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!”

Featuring sea views, Bungalow Miwa offers accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and barbecue facilities, around 12 km from Paofai Gardens. Wow! Yes, Wow! Of the thousands of places I've stayed in 70+ years, this ranks among the top three and I can't say how wonderful the other two were. It is the only place I can't say how to improve it. A fantastic setting/view, full feature bungalow, modern, clean, well run, and with a delightful hostess. It is a bit difficult to get to, but if you managed to make it to Tahiti, you're up to it. If I return to the island, this will be my first booking (and I had another top-20 stay there). When the price doubles, it will still be a bargain (with a waiting list). So don't miss out!
