It was my first time staying in a hostel in a shared room and I loved it. The staff is extremely attentive and always tries to help with any questions. The bathroom in the room is cleaned daily and the shower is excellent, which made showering after a day at the beach amazing. On top of that, the beds are comfortable, the bed linens are clean, and the towels are fresh as well. The common areas of the hostel are great for relaxing and socializing. I felt safe the entire time, and there are lockers inside the rooms to store personal items. Finally, the location is perfect—close to the beach and everything you need to fully enjoy Honolulu. Without a doubt, I will stay at this hostel again.

The overall service and room were very thoughtful. The check-in process was simple and clear, with insect-repelling scents and sprays, a small nightlight in the bathroom, a guestbook by the door, and even face masks available! There’s also a steam iron and regular iron to choose from. We only realized after leaving that there was no TV, which fits perfectly with the bamboo and zen concept.
