The lodge offers a variety of unique experiences—from a scenic boat tour around Lake Bunyonyi’s historical islands to hiking trails, local craft shopping, and even tasting traditional banana gin! Every moment was filled with adventure and cultural discovery. One of the highlights was the delicious farm-to-table meals prepared with fresh local ingredients. Whether it was a hearty breakfast by the lake or a cozy dinner under the stars, every meal was a delight. He talked to the Bodaboda guy to get me to his apartment. He changed the room with a bigger one without extra money! He is warm and willing to help you. Good value for money. I will definitely be back!

The room was clean a the view from terrace is amazing. Wycliffe can arrange transport from the city or some activities. The food is also very good and all staff are very nice. Highly recommend place to visit, offering peaceful retreat.

I got in late on the bus and he showed where I could get dinner. The apartment is in a great central location and was super clean. The shower got super hot and was very nice. The bed was very big and comfortable. Highly recommend Walter and his apartments.

Everything was beyond perfect. I love the seclusion of the island. The first highlight is the ride to the boat pier and the boat ride to the island through Lake Bunyonyi. The welcome by the staff is warm and honest. The property is fully self-sustaining, so if you're not a fan of outdoor latrines, be prepared ;) Hot showers are available but need about an hour preparation time. The staff really goes out of their way to accommodate all your wishes and make you feel right at home. I recommend staying in their geo domes as it is an experience you will never forget. The menu at their "canteen" is a dream for vegetarians. Just the perfect place to relax and switch off for a few days. They organize tours to other islands as well, which I didn't try as I just wanted to relax for a few days before heading to the hustling streets of Kampala. They also organized a gorilla track for me in Bwindi at very short notice, which they made into the perfect day and memorable experience. Thanks again for everything 🙏

We changed a room in the middle ( an upgrade ) both rooms were great ( number 7 was the best). The hotel has an amazing view, a serine environment with nice sitting areas where you can sit and eat/ have a drink in front of the view. Service was excellent and everybody were so nice and helpfull.We took the hotel kayaks to explore the lake (free for guest's use).

Perfect Location at the Lake to relax and enjoy the place. Nice sun deck at the lake to catch the Vitamin D you need. Boat and Kanu cruises around the lake if you need something to do at reasonable prices. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spaceous and clean. Wifi the best we had on the whole trip in Uganda.
