Excellent place to stay in Porto Moniz. Location is super convenient, close to the natural pools and with enough parking spaces (either underground at the hotel, or the parking next door). Super helpful and friendly staff, willing to give recommendations for your days in Madeira. Breakfast, even though in a different building close by, was also delicious with multiple savory and sweet options. The room was spacious, with enough equipment to make your own food in the studio if you want. The bed and the pillows we also comfortable and the small terrace of the room gives enough space to relax after your excursions.

The facilities were beautiful and absolutely spotless. The setting was unreal, I kept having to tell myself, this is real, it's not a photo.. The staff was so friendly and kind. And the breakfast was amazing. We will stay there again if we are ever able to travel again to Maderia.

The staff was wonderful, especially Sonia on the front desk. No request seemed to phase her. She organized a tour of north eastern Maderia that was wonderful. The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of the old part of Funchel, near the Municipal Gardens.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Teresa is simply the very best hostess... very kind and generous always taking good care of the guests. Such a wonderful place with quality and confort with great views to ocean and nature. Very nice breakfast and i strongly suggest the homemade dinner. Excellent food. Looking forward for the next staying at Casa das Proteas. Thank You.

Situated in a restored 18th-century home, Casa Da Piedade offers a lounge with fireplace, outdoor garden with barbecue and brightly decorated rooms. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Cozy, small, well-maintained, traditional hotel. Free parking. Very friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Amazing garden with pool. There are two cute cats in the hotel.
