The staff were incredible, so easy to chat to, helpful and kind (they gave us so many recommendations - especially the owner she’s the best!). The dogs here are the cutest, we loved coming back to see them. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They did get a bit hot, but what else do you expect in the Philippines. It’s a little out the way from things like restaurants (but with a scooter absolutely fine), so we didn’t expect it to be as social as it was, we met some great people here. Also, being by the water makes it sooo worth it.

Guests can use the hot tub, or enjoy pool views. We had to stay an extra night on Bohol due to a flight cancellation. The Mayana Resort was an excellent choice for that night, being located close to the airport, the Tagbilaran port and some really beautiful beaches of Panglao Island. The food is excellent and special, featuring some Swiss-influenced dishes as well as a range of dishes with ostrich (something you will rarely find in most ASEAN countries). Also worth mentioning is the great value for money.

The bathroom is also huge. The location is near to one if the best beach (5min Tuktuk). I made a mistake and booked for the wrong month, the owner refunded 100% me and I was able to get a room for the actual date.
