Casa Kukama is a special place well worth the visit. We loved the room, having a swim I. I was blown away by Wilson’s kindness and help - as a tour operator himself he knows all the important things to tell those of us who are off into the wilds or around Peru and is very generous with his time and advice. He and his wife are invaluably helpful. 10 out of 10.

Fitzcarrald Hotel is set in Iquitos. This 3-star hotel offers a concierge service and a tour desk. This was the second time I was staying at Fitzcarrald, after we finished our stay at the Amazon lodge. Again the hotel was quiet from the motor noise at night. The hotel manager spoke good English, was highly reliable and responsive and was always ready to help. The transportation from and to the airport the manager arranged was punctual and reasonably priced. Again the hotel is very clean. The breakfast was prepared fresh on the spot and served to our table by the kitchen staff who added greatly to the hotel. I personally would recommend Fitzcarrald hotel to Amazon visitors like us.

Each room is individually designed with a price range to suit most budgets. We liked pretty much everything about this place, even if it's a bit over our budget it's still so worth it.

Casa de Perú Iquitos- Hotel & Restaurant in Iquitos features 3-star accommodation with a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. They found a cake for my birthday and cooked cayman meat we found in the market. Made great Pisco Sours. Cleaned our clothes (which we desperately needed). Give them a try!
