The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.

Dinner is optional at their place and the food was excellent both nights we ate there. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room. Kayaks are available and there is snorkeling right in front of the property. We were also fortunate to see a sloth waIk thru the garden. I would recommend staying at Ataraxia

The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Staying at Carmen’s was an absolute highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends into her home. The place is beautifully maintained, with comfortable rooms, a lovely dock, and a lush garden perfect for relaxing. The facilities are excellent, but what truly makes this place special is the warmth and hospitality of Carmen and Marcel. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, always with such kindness and care. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and abundant—a perfect way to start the day. And in the evening, Carmen’s home-cooked dinners were a treat—she prepares the freshest fish of the day, and all the guests gather around the table to share a meal and great conversation. Carmen was incredibly helpful with everything, from tending to a blister on my foot to organizing day trips. This stay was more than just accommodation—it was a truly memorable experience. I can’t recommend it enough!

The huts are very cozy and they have everything you need. Jen is the host of this accommodation and she lovingly takes care of her guests. There is a delicious breakfast and she helps you organize any activities you want to do. We will remember this accommodation for a long time.

Some units in the apartment complex have private entrance and are fitted with wardrobe and outdoor furniture. With a private bathroom, units at the apartment complex also feature free WiFi, while certain rooms also offer a terrace. Location was fabulous. Lots of windows with gorgeous views of wayer. Breakfast delivered to the room. We used the free kayaks. Snorkeling in front of the cabin was great. JJ was a wonderful host.

The Lodge at Punta Rica- Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Bastimentos where guests can make the most of its pool with a view, private beach area, and water sports facilities. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio. Featuring a private entrance, the bed and breakfast allows guests to maintain their privacy. It was a gorgeous lodge set in a wonderful location. There were many beautiful places to sit and relax. Daniel Was a great Host and the food was exceptional.

The property is as described. Lots of storage space so you can unpack. Great kitchen. They are very attentive to your comfort. We had one of the air conditioners break down when it was determined that is could not be repaired they had it replaced right away. It is only really needed in the evening and night time for comfort and sleeping. During the day open the doors and windows and the breeze is great. A very comfortable home and a great place to unwind.

We are committed to preserving the environment and biodiversity. We have solar panels, low consumption water systems, waste management and coastal conservation practices. We loved the location in the bay and our view and access from terrace directly to the ocean. Water was calm, clean, warm and we swam and snorkeled every day. The staff was very friendly, bungalow spacious and clean with both inside and outside shower and two floor windows to watch the colorful fishes swim below our bungalow. Reasonable restaurant prices (15-20 USD for main course, 2-8 USD for drink), food very tasty (especially the grilled tuna :)). Water taxi costs 5 USD to the Bocas town. We made a great choice to book this hotel.
