Beautiful place, nice kitchen and really goods informations about the activities in the region !

We had a great time! The hostel is very close to the centre. The host is very friendly, taught us how to make the most delicous crab pasta! He gave us great tips on boat tours/ restaurants/ shuttles etc. The room was clean and a very nice bathroom. You can also swim at the hotel, and it has a spacious ‘chill’ area. Would definitly come here again!!.

Beautifully located apartments where the sound of waves and the jungle lull you to sleep. The apartment is very spacious, well equipped, everything brand new and very comfortable. A spacious balcony with a view and hammocks. Downstairs, there are pools available. A perfect place for people who want to relax and escape the hustle and noise.

Together with my 13-year-old daughter I had the pleasure to spend one week in the Pirate Arts Resort on Carenero Island. At first, I was hesitant to fly all the way from Germany to Panama but luckily my daughter insisted. And it was so worth it. Before we even sat foot on the island, we were very well taken care of. Weeks in advance, the managing director sent us a welcome letter which included how to get there, a very nice selection of trips and excursions to do, where to eat, etc. It also included some very practical tips in terms of which insect-repellent to buy and to stop at the local supermarket to buy the snacks you will be craving after dinner. When we finally sat foot on the island it felt like stepping into another world. There was the main house with the restaurant (it was closed when we visited but will be reopened in December and the whole operations will be run by a German chef – funny coincidence) and then there were a couple of separate 2-story houses with apartments in a tropical garden. Oh, that garden. So well maintained and so beautiful. Our apartment had a huge veranda with a table for four, a hammock, some lounge chairs (this is where I enjoyed my morning coffee) and 2 deck-chairs. Ah, and there was a star-fruit tree right in front of our house and we took full advantage of it 😊 On the veranda was a huge ventilator to keep the mosquitos away. Inside the apartment we had a big room with a fully furnished kitchen and living room with lots of books and board games. Our suite had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. All the rooms have air-conditioning and ventilators. I also loved the fact that there were flower arrangements on every table and a fruit basket in the kitchen. Yummy. Behind the house was a washing-machine and a dryer – all very convenient. The people working there were very friendly – it felt more like a community. The only bad thing was that I didn't book enough days here! Simply loved it, will definitely be back!

Lucas and Sylvia, the owners, are warm, welcoming, and truly genuine hosts. We spent three nights there and loved every moment of our stay. The location is perfect. If you're visiting Bocas Del Toro, this is definitely the place to be!
