Jassim and his crew know hospitality and will make your private desert stay a wonderful experience. You may believe this to be a once in a lifetime experience, but my heart is set on returning to the desert, to Bidiyah, and to Oman. The camp is the furthest one in the desert so we were very far from the town of Bidiyah and it’s light pollution- far enough away to see the beautiful night sky be-speckled with stars. The tent is well designed and faces east to capture the most beautiful sunrise you’ll ever see over the desert sand dunes. No match for what you’ll see on Dune or Tatooine. There were just a few tents at this camp making for a very private setting, with just a few friendly neighbors. The base of the camp is where we had meals. They prepared great dishes (buffet), and had vegetarian options too. After dinner, we sat outside with the few people at the camp and had some tea and conversation. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and sometimes there’s a fire at night. The camp also boasts eco tourism using solar cells and limits the use of plastics. It was very quiet (except for the winds). There’s a fully functioning open air, private, outdoor bathroom attached to our tent where you can shower under the stars. Keep in mind that you’ll be covered in a thin layer of sand and sometimes it gets very windy so some eye protection would’ve come in handy. Lastly, I highly recommend meeting the crew at the meeting point in Bidiyah and having them drive on the desert sand. Jassim picked us up, had great communication, and simply the most hospitable and nicest person you’ll ever meet. He stopped so we could say hi to the camels, take a few photos, and had a few laughs.

Located within 200 metres of Al Hadd Beach and 1.5 km of Al Hadd Fort, Sea Turtles Guest House provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Al Ḩadd. Sea Turtles Guest House is a fabulous place. The host, Mr Abdullah, is very welcoming and friendly. He was constantly providing us with snacks and one night even provided a full meal for all the guests. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Wifi is good. Pool and garden area is really nice. Breakfast is amazing. Area is very quiet. Didn't want to leave!! The only negative is the amount of plastic rubbish lying around between the Guest House and the beach. This is not the fault of the Guest House. But it is such a shame that such a beautiful location is spoiled in this way.

The place was well-maintained. Every corner was IG-worthy, very aesthetic. The location was very peaceful and quiet. We really enjoy our time. Said was very responsive and helpful of our needs. Stunning views. Peace and quiet all around. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The room offers complimentary not only water, tea, and coffee (capsules) but also fruits and sweets. Delicious food for breakfast and dinner. A heated swimming pool. The hotel is ready to organize various activities (its own or from neighboring hotels) such as ATVs, camel rides, ballooning and jeep tours. We combined work with leisure, and the Wi-Fi was good enough for video conferences (for using Viber, it’s better to enable a VPN or use a local eSIM). We had an online meeting after checking out of our room, and the hotel provided us with the opportunity to hold it from the restaurant. To reach the hotel, it’s best to have a 4x4 jeep.

You're truly in the desert. Also, taking an open-air shower with the moon is so cool 😄. The stuff is incredibly hospitable and they will be with you every single time whenever you need them. Mr Salim and his brother Yasir specifically are gentlemen who will always smile ☺️. The people who operate & execute this experience are actually bedouins. Truly wonderful people!!! Special mention to the amazing food that was served. Homely cooked meals met with amazing level of hospitality. I had the best Mishkak here at Moon Light Luxury Camp.
